Throughout her childhood, growing up outside of Santa Fe, N.M., Kimberly took private art lessons. The classes were taught by a wonderful teacher and celebrated local artist. These early art lessons formed a lifelong interest in art and teaching. Kimberly has taught a wide range of students from young to old, in the US and abroad. Her teaching journey ultimately led her to study the work of Dr. Maria Montessori, and receive Montessori certification.

The founding principal of Dr. Maria Montessori is that all children have a natural God given ability and desire to learn, and that we as adults can foster that love of learning by providing encouragement, beautiful and interesting materials, and a positive learning environment.
